Privacy Policy
Last updated: 2026 ยท Early Cat
Early Cat is a simple alarm app. We built it to respect your privacy โ no accounts, no servers, no tracking.
What data we collect
We do not collect, store, or transmit any personal data to any server. Everything the app uses stays on your device.
Camera
Early Cat requests camera access for two features that dismiss your alarm: scanning your QR code, and counting your push-ups. Push-up counting uses on-device body-pose detection to count repetitions only. In both cases the camera feed is processed entirely on your device and is never stored, recorded, or sent anywhere.
Notifications
We request permission to send you local notifications to fire your scheduled alarms. These notifications are scheduled on your device and are not sent through any external server.
Subscriptions & payments
Early Cat offers an auto-renewing subscription managed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We never see or handle your payment information. Apple's privacy policy governs payment data: apple.com/legal/privacy.
Local storage
The app stores your alarm preferences and schedule locally on your device using iOS standard storage (AppStorage and CoreData). This data never leaves your device.
Third-party SDKs
Early Cat does not include any third-party analytics, advertising, or crash-reporting SDKs. It uses Apple's StoreKit for subscription management, and Lottie (an open-source animation library) to play the achievement animation. Lottie renders animations on your device; it has no networking and collects nothing.
Children's privacy
Early Cat is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children.
Changes to this policy
If we update this policy, we will revise the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
